Good seat cushion/replacement for long rides

So in August I rode out to Kelowna, down to Creston then back home. I took 2 days to get to Kelowna, 1 to Creston, and then 1 home (stayed in Kelowna for a few days).

The problem I found was that after a couple of hours in the saddle, but butt got really sore. I would stop and walk around a bit, but that only saved me for about an hour. My question is, what is a good seat cushion/replacement that won't cost me an arm and a leg? Any thoughts/suggestions?

Lots of cruisers do the lambskin rug on the seat. I had my previous FZ-09 seat modified with a gel insert. I found doing it locally was better than buying a pre-made one online. http://powersportseats.com/

Cycling shorts are my go to for long rides. Sure help with the monkey butt.
