New winters on the Wife’s SUV today
How long did it take you to have someone put them on?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Tunerworks, booking two weeks out. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I just had Tunerworks rebalance my winters for the Jeep, dropped them off loose and they fit me in pretty quick. I was pleased with their work as usual.
They didn’t balance them originally and the crappy weights rusted and were falling off….
I like neat cars.
Yah if you can do rims loose everywhere seems a bit faster, easy money for them probably right. I got mine in in 2 days. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Loose rims, or new packages, were always the best to do. You didn't have to lift the car to pop them off, and if the car came in during a storm/after a big snowfall, everything was wet and cold. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

+1, I usually fit people in same day with loose rims - often staying late to get them doneThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I love when people bring in loose wheels, i hate lifting cars and popping them off hahaThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I loaded the winter wheels with the old tires on them in the back of the SUV, but they still had to take my wife’s summer wheels off and swap after they installed the new winters on her winter wheels.
Regardless I had a booked appointment so didn’t matter. Bobby or Mark always help me out. Rob runs a great shop.
You store your own wheels? What kind of peasant are you? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Has anybody heard of Gislaved Nord Frost 200 winter tires. I am trying to decide between them and the Gi-6. They are much cheaper and my usual tire guy says they are great.
Any thoughts?
My father ran a set of gislaveds on his XC70 for a number of years. They were fine, I'd be hard pressed to say they were measurably worse or better than most other average winter tires. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I went from Blizzak WS60 to the Nordfrost Gislaved's a few years back on my Subaru. I was not impressed. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

The drive through Idaho and Montana is cold and snowy at times. Would definitely keep the winters on.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I had them studded on a charger about 5-6 years ago and they were good but i suspect thats because they were studded. I then had the Gsi-5's on my wifes yukon and thought they were quite good, no complaints. I would say they were comparable with the nord frost's studded. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
My tire shop says it's a busy time of year and that they are shorthanded. Weird.
I wonder why....This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Luckily in my fleet the summer tires are actually all seasons, so we can be pretty relaxed about the timing of the seasonal changeovers.
