Yea just 3 so far. Going to venture out in a bit to reassess.
edit - reassessed. still not calling a studded tire day today. I'm still able to put full power down at most lights with barely any wheelspin. there's a few corners out there that are icier than normal. lots of accidents out there today, all season tire crew must not be having fun in these temps.

Yeah forsure. Where they will really shine is Calgary -> Edmonton and Calgary -> Kootenays mid winter drives. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I bought some new summer wheels for the X5, so my previous summers will now be winters. On my 335 I have studded sailun ice blazers and they are surprisingly good for what I perceive to be a no name tire.
Seems like only fountain tire carries them and they are fair priced, anyone have any comparable to price and performance to those? Trying to find a set of anything in my size is pretty hard apparently.
try canadawheels online, they were pretty good to find sizes
Tunerworks treated me well with my X5. They seemed to have lots of experience putting rubber on BMWminivanswagons.

Warehouse in Calgary now. No shipping fees.
Have you tried looking for slightly different diameter sizes? I tripled my options when going to a non-OEM size (and only 1.6% difference in size)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

UrbanX will get you Sailuns, but the price has jumped on them drastically this year, no longer the cheap price they once were
They always did perform at a mid level for an entry price, but they're now a mid price for a mid level
I picked up a set of one season use Hakka SUVs for the minivan, on wheels, with sensors for $300, normally wouldn't spend the money on Nokian but this was a ridiculously good price imo
Post that in the cheap bastard thread, you lucky guy!
I also got a used set of Hakka 9 for $80 installed. It’s good to know people.
$80? I hate you

If the chord of the tire is showing does that add traction?

As usual @tirebob came through with a set. Going in for some Federal Himalaya studded on my summer wheels that are now winter wheels.
Stay tuned for my floating vehicle in summer.
Just leave them grey, it's a good color as-is haha. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ya its on my mind. This is a different nicer grey in person than I've seen. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It's also the same color as brake dust. I'm lazy, so I love wheels that help hide the fact I never clean them. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
