TPiM is going to rant about the shot counter guy at the dome, but I rewatched a few high SOG games for shits and giggles, counted shots myself, and is pretty accurate. We just rack up a lot of low danger easy save shots.

Our high danger chances should be nowhere near 1st.

Edit - high danger chances 8th, expected goals for 11th. That tracks correct. Coupled with our poor expected GA our record is pretty much spot on.

I think you're right. My digging shows almost the same avg shots per game at home vs away which I honestly thought would show a minimum 15% difference.
Perhaps they're also lobbing it wide frequently and goalies are "over-saving" wide shots.
Whatever they're doing, it's terrible. I've seen at least 2-3 games where they were not dominating in any way at all but the shots were through the roof. Without hard traffic and aggressive screening, this strategy is stupid.
