And new Blasty jersey released today!

I don't get the love for the Blasty jersey - it always takes me back to the darkest period in Flames history (mid-late 90's). I don't even find it particularly nice looking.

Blasty was 1998-2006. So a couple dark young guns years in there ya. I think the Blasty is cool cause its cheezy 90's design.



The pedestal was 1994-2000, maybe that's what you're thinking about? Its also back this season as Flames new reverse retro, but its black this time around.

I really want one of the full CADPAT jerseys…. The ones they have had the last 5 years or so have been lame

I also love my all black stamps jersey that got “cancelled” because it had guns on it lol

Interested to see what the new Pedestal looks like. Personally the 'classic' jerseys they brought back look amazing - it's hard to find something that looks close to as good.

The oilers can suck my dick. What a first period but I definitely got a little concerned in the 2nd and 3rd when they stopped trying to hit us and actually started to play hockey. The new crew for the Flames is still a little bit disjointed but I expect that to smooth out as they play together more.

Also, I love the Michael Stone revenge tour. The guy had 3 pts in the first 7 minutes of saturdays game.

Yea top line not looking great 5v5... yet. But I expect that they'll figure it out.

Second like looks great. And specifically Kadri looks like a fucking stud out there.

PP1 snapping the puck around and looks stellar. Couple too many posts so far but they're going to be a dangerous PP.

Back end looking strong. Weegar is a bit of a spaz in his own end at time but Sutter will sort that out. He looks a like a young Giordano. Stone looking like the leagues best deal!

Vladar looking primo this year, which is great. Markstrom could use more nights off in the regular season.

When asked about why he chose to go with Vladar versus Edmonton Sutter's answer was that their plan for this season was to give Vladdy a minimum of 1 game a week. This should help with giving Markstrom some much needed rest plus also keep Vladar dialed in. Hopefully they stick with that plan so we don't have a repeat of round 2 of last year

Saw a FB post during the summer: Jack Campbell is the second best goalie in the conference

He's not even the second best goalie in Alberta.

I thought Vladar did a great job. Didn't look comfortable, but who would against McDeus and crew.

well im happy the Flames broke the curse for longest active team losing in the opener, hopefully coupling that with a win against the defending champs + Edmonton is a big statement for this year and what is to come.

2-0 to start aint too bad at all. I think the top line will sort things out soon, 3 guys that haven't played together before just need some time to gel. I'm loving the second line so far, 3 speedsters who all play with a chip on their shoulder, they are fun to watch.
