This is why people who work in government come off as fools.
Actually, we are all losers who hate kids that fly in airliners.

For those on the 'NDP will destroy this province side' I'm curious what policies they brought in while in power do you think damaged the province or had a lasting negative impact?

I'm sure debt will come up but I don't really view that as an NDP issue, revisionist history often forgets the conservatives proposed a 7B deficit and then called the election over it. AB was going heavily into debt regardless in 2015.

You’re right it doesn’t matter who’s in power.

$2 billion in crude-by-rail losses for one: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calga...erta-1.5704350

Royalty Review that drove away investment and encouraged many O&G companies to leave Canada another.

Notley can say whatever she wants about Pipeline development but the truth is the Provincial and Federal NDP are tied at the hip and the Fed NDP are still strongly opposed to Pipelines and I honestly believe her term was the last term where it made sense for these infrastructure projects. O&G demand in a decade will likely be reduced and the lowest cost producers will be the ones supplying it.

Debt of course being a massive issue, which you've already pointed out.

All that said, I think the UCP is a trainwreck as well. Alberta needs a sensible party that sits between the two but instead we only get more extreme right and extreme left options. I'm no longer an Alberta voter but it's no big deal since there isn't a party I'd actually support to be in power out of the tragic options available.

Bs. The rail loss was caused by UCP bailing on the contracts.

The royalty review was positive. It really affirmed Royalties were good where they were, stabilized long term investment target.

i've said many times, UCP would be just fine if they had a leader that wasn't a wingnut, i didn't mind Kenny most days.

So no downside to NDP, nothing but economic devastation, privatization and separatist business killing nonsense from the corrupt UCP.

    No brainer.

Id be more concerned if leftist people didn't think of the UCP leader as a wingnut.

Wanting anything close to the status quo is irrational.
