Totally crazy. I would never EVER have thought Florida had a chance against the Bruins. Granted, the Bruins had a couple players missing and had sickness in their lineup. Take that away, and it wouldn't have happened. Still though....

Now that Toronto has made it past the first round, I might not bother cheering against them any longer. It was a fun position to have year after year, but they might actually make a go of it this season.

Colorado was also in tough, missing key players to injury. But otherwise, that series is also a big surprise. I still don't view Seattle as a particularly good team, and don't expect them to make it much further.

Otherwise, the other series' are going pretty much as I expected. Dallas, Vegas, Carolina all should have won, and did. The only toss-up (which really is looking like exactly that) is the Jersey and Rangers series. I still feel that one can go either way.

Dallas over Seattle in 6
Vegas over Oilers in 7
Toronto over Florida in 5
Devils over Carolina in 6 (If Rangers, in 7)

Panthers/Sunshine Sports business model is to have the Panthers as a loss leader, so they got an arena fully subsidized by Broward County including maintenance of the building, so the ownership group makes all the money off concerts while sucking everything they can out of Broward. You want a worst deal than our arena, look no further. Broward County continues to give hundreds of millions of dollars to keep the Panthers there. It's hilarious. The more money they lose/bury, the more they get from the county.
