Anybody recognize? Wrecked maroon early 90's H22 swapped accord with beyond sticker?

Wondering if anybody knows the history of this car? it was probably crashed 8 years ago or more... we tried to get it running but I think the remote start/alarm has it locked out... considering using the motor as a donor.

Do you remember posing for the photo where you were holding a massive toblerone and had a cig hanging out of your mouth? That's a great pic.

Well that's cool to see. I always wonder what happens to old cars!
I know the answer is almost always "ended up in a junkyard", but it's still neat to see.

So I bought this car back in about 2004 I think from a family that barely used it.
I swapped in the H22A in about 2006 and then sold the car in 2007.
The next owner only had it for about a year before someone ran a red light and he t-boned them.

I babied that car, so when I let go of it it was still in really great shape.
The guy who bought it from me I get the feeling he was pretty gentle with it as well.
He didn't keep the car, so it's likely it went to a junkyard right after that.

What a blast from the past though. I loved that car so much!

As LilDrunkenSmurf said, I do still drive around with an H22ACB7 plate on a car that doesn't match at all.

I definitely remember that thing being loud as balls on the Banff cruise.

I really disliked how loud it was after the motor swap.
It was on my list to redo the whole exhaust and quiet it down significantly but I could barely pay to fill the tank at the time.

Haha no, it's a very valid criticism to have.
Just passing on this cool story to my family right now and they are all talking about how loud it was and how they could hear me coming home from work for a long distance.

@iblizzard That's cool, any idea the history of the H22 before you put it in? was the engine in good condition? burn oil? anything odd we might need to know? We'd probably go through and change the timing belt and re-do all the gaskets before installing

It was purchased through JDM Source and was in great condition when it was put in and when I sold it.
It didn't burn oil and I don't really recall anything that was odd about it. My memory is trash though..

Ok I had to make a new account and wait for it to be approved so sorry for the delay. Iblizzard text me the day this popped up. I’m the last owner of it! It was written off when some guy ran a red light. I had just installed an excedy clutch and lightweight flywheel on it. I had plans to try to make it a little more trackable just for a track day here and there but never happened. I babied the hell outta it. I thought it still had the remote starter for it but couldn’t find it but do have the key still. It was a great car that was loud as hell but I loved it. Iblizzard had told me someone messaged him that it was found in a junk yard and bought and I always wondered what happened to it.
