Default Need Toyota truck expert pls! 14 Tundra 1794 transfer case needs replacing

    Hey guys,

Bit of a bind here. My truck was making a horrible clanking noise when I drove off and got louder/faster as I drove. Had it towed to my nearest Toyota Stealership who told me the transfer case is hooped and they found metal shavings in it but I doubt they actually opened it up.

Anyways, need a new transfer case, or used one. But I'm hearing two things. One, the 1794 transfer case is specific to the 1794s and I can't replace it with one from any other model and TWO, Toyota is no longer making them?!

Can someone with experience in this drop some wisdom please!?!?!?! My truck has been out of commission for 2 months now and I need it up and running.

    Thanks for any insight!

    THIS.

Krave is full of legacy Toyota Techs, so the Toyota knowledge and expertise is there.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

I don't see anything saying the 1794 edition has a different transfer case. In fact, it looks like its the same case from 14-21.

What's the part number? Can search it here but you may also have a Toyota dealer search access.

I think the part number only changes from one motor size to the next, but not between trim levels. At least that's what a buddy looked up for me.

Thats what I have found. I assume it was the 5.7, because 1794.
