That took longer than I expected.

Most british cars are shitboxes, change my mind. They just offset the shitbox factor with a bit of... charm?

If I stopped posting about obvious stuff, I'd hardly have anything to post about.

Rockauto order came in. Timing belt will go in later this week, along with the new alt belt.
Spare NGK plug wires, and spare spark plugs.
Got a rear wiper, but it's a generic one that doesn't fit the arm, so I'll look to see if I can just move the rubber over.
Got new hatch struts, but it's missing 1/2 the hardware, so I stole the hardware from both to install one of them.

Also called speedfactory and ordered some coilovers. I spent a week looking for something decent that I could lower the car just a bit on, but nothing came out, everything was discontinued, out of stock, etc. I didn't want to run monroe shocks, so I went all in, hoping I don't need to replace it in a long ass time.

So last night, I learned I can to the timing belt in about an hour.
Tossed on the new belt + idler. Since there was very low mileage on the previous kit, but it sat around for 5 years, I opted to do the belt, but not the oil pump.
New timing belt, new idler, new alt belt. Also found out the front drivers tire and the rear passenger wheel were the wrong rotation direction, so I swapped those.
Also installed a second new hatch strut, after rockauto sent me some more replacements (still with half the hardware), so I have 2 spare brand new struts if these ever go bad.

Next up...? Rekey the locks to use the same key as the ignition?
Or maybe see if I can find a 3d print model to install speakers in the rear. The "mount kits" are going on ebay for $600+, since they're all discontinued. There's supposed to be stock wiring, but I can't see to find it, so it might've been torn out when they repaired the rust in the rockers/quater panels.

Great thread potential, very interested to see your build here Smurf. I had a 91 Si, my first decent car that I bought in 1992.

My first car was a 92 Civic Si. I miss that thing, so I was glad to find another Si.

Finished installing the CMC and SMC last night, used a vacuum bleeder, but I'm still getting a super low engagement point. PO claims the clutch was brand new when I bought the car, and I'm inclined to believe them. I wonder if some air isn't stuck in the CMC, so I either need to pull it out again and bench bleed it, or just try to use the good ol' pump the pedal method. The wife is having none of sitting in the cold garage, so it'll be solo bleeding.

Or, the clutch is just wrecked, and I need to install a new one.

Hoping to start installing the coilovers and replace what I assume is OEM suspension tonight.

Also, these chineseum winter tires are hot garbage. I need to look at picking up some used 14" winters, or seeing if I can source some cheap.

    I always loved your EG.

Did a quick re-bleed on the clutch. I'm worried I might need to pull the master out and bench bleed it, which I failed to do when it arrived.
Also replaced 1/4 of the shocks with the k-tuned coilovers. It comes with sleeves that I assume are for the front brake line mounts, but there's zero instructions, so I pulled a bolt/nut out of the parts drawer and it's just... sitting there.
Otherwise, it's going relatively quickly, when I can actually get out in the garage and work on it.
Note: I didn't go this low, but I didn't actually measure the height difference. But this is the oem (290km) front passenger strut compared to a k-tuned coilover.

Finally got back into the garage with the warmer weather.
Wrapped up both front coilovers and moved to the back.

Had the rear driver's one out and saw the bushings in the LCA were shot, so I decided to replace em with the eBay spec ones that the PO included with the car. Got it mostly back together but the drivers side LCA mount on the body must've smashed something so its not quite straight.

I'm having a hell of a time getting the bolt back into the rear knuckle, since it won't line up.

Started taking the rear passenger one apart before I ran out of time, but it looks like it'll be easier to wrap up once I get back out there. I'll try to take some pics of the new vs old LCA. Going for ~1.5" drop all the way around, which is the max safe height on these coilovers.

Got it all together. Just need to tighten up the top bolts on the drivers side strut. Also managed to strip the lower shock bolt trying to tighten it up, so I'll need to replace that ASAP. It looks like the OEM shocks had a threaded hole, and they were actually replaced at some point, so instead of just throwing on a flanged nut, whoever did the replacement just bought a 100mm bolt and but it off at the end. I'll have to go find an automotive grade M10x1.25 80mm bolt and a flanged nut and replace it, but it's all together.

You can really see how messed up the LCA mount was on the body. I ended up having to use the old one to bend it to be straighter, as it was the only way to get it to line up.

The passenger side LCA had the shock bushing just... fall out. It was completely toast.

Well, after a miscommunication with the dealer, the replacement bolts won't be in until today. However, yesterday a buddy dropped off some 3d printed speaker adapters for me, so I could finally drop in the 6.5" speakers that came with the car. While I had the drivers side door panel apart, I also lubed the crap out of the locks, trying to make sure they actually stay unlocked when using the key. It's... slightly better.

Anyways, old Pioneer 6.25" speakers out, and new 6.5" speakers in. Quality is slightly better, but I really need to replace the circa 2010 head unit in there. It's missing bluetooth, the USB port only supports iPods, and the aux input is barely functional, where the audio slowly fades out until you adjust the cable again. Also, I completely lack CDs.

Side note, one day I want to tear out the old vapor barriers, and replace them with new ones. The passenger side one was "replaced" at some point, and actually rattles with music.

For the vapour barriers just go to Home Depot and buy poly and some rtv or window weld.

So this is what $45 worth of bolts looks like:

These are the bolts I took out:

And here it is all buttoned up with the new LCAs:

I do need to fiddle with the ride heights, because even though I pre-set them all before installation, the ride heights (center cap to fender) ended up something like this:
    RL: 14.25"FL: 15.5"
    FR: 14.5"
    RR: 15.25"

Just a quick wishlist of things I'd like to eventually grab:

    New headlights w/ amber corners - https://www.ebay.ca/itm/184572701804
    Yonaka catback - https://www.yonaka.ca/92_95_Honda_Ci..._p/ymcb004.htm
Test pipe/high flow cat - ??? (The current exhaust is a single piece all welded in, so any catback wouldn't bolt up)
    Head unit - Pioneer DEH-S4220BT - https://www.crutchfield.ca/p_130DS42...H-S4220BT.html
