I can’t wait. Im more excited about it than I was the EVO. Just such a cool car that makes sense in our shit roads and winter.
Probably not until September or October 2023. Definitely have some good gravel roads on the radar and winter driving planned for it.

Also plan to visit dirt fish rally school in Washington to get the skills up. If anyone is interested in a group package for April/May, hit me up!

Trading in the Evo for it or keeping both?

I think they will be different enough to justify keeping both. Time will tell though. I don’t think Huracan EVO prices are going to plummet any time soon so I’m comfortable holding onto it until I know for sure.

A no-option Dakar just sold on BaT for $120k USD over sticker.

It’s insane what people are willing to pay for these cars right now!

Why is that named Dakar? Because it has all terrain tires with the same 3” of wheel travel?

It's a heritage edition car based on the 959 that raced (won?) the Paris-Dakar race.

Special edition cars going for high prices is great. This whole thing is a neat tweak, and leaning in to the legitimate heritage is neat.

No not at all. And it's apparently excellent, albeit overpriced.

I dunno, a guy I know here just took delivery of his not long ago and immediately took it on a road trip down through the US rockies and all kinds of places. Pretty awesome car imo

I don't know all the stops however all those parks line up. I can't imagine two couples from here doing a run like that, with a car like that, at the same time haha

Love that you're going to do similar with that thing, so awesome to see cars enjoyed instead of parked!

    Not like this:

The unpaved highway 68 would be my first road I rip it thru if I had one.

In a follow up to the guy I know with one, they made him turn in his GT3 to get the allocation and he says it's the best trade he ever made, by far the most fun 911 he's ever owned. Pretty good endorsement from a fairly deep ownership experienced fanboy. Looking forward to going for a ride.
