Default Garage Door Supply and Install for New Garage

    Any Beyond connection these days?

I've heard Action Door is good choice, anyone used them?

Is Steel Craft the way to go?

@ExtraSlow is in the middle of negotiations to overpay for a small garage door repair business, as we speak!
He will have the inside scoop.

I've had nothing but praise for Creative Door. I've been using them on and off for 20 years.

I think mine was a 6 month wait. Prices of doors has also doubled compared to pre-pandemic. My FIL is in the garage business in BC and says it's not BS.

Correct. My builder budget was $2,500 for a door (mid 2020). By the time it was ordered in mid 2021, it was $4,800. It was also a 22 week wait for mine. I am sure it is more now. That was a for a 9x18 Steelcraft door.

I was pretty happy with Action. Huge delays from Steelcraft which is outside of their control.

    Incorrect.
But if it was me I'd call the garage door guy I use for repairs and ask him. Tony at Best Doors Inc. I'm sure he knows more than random car guys.

Tony does sales/installation of new garage doors too. I had him replace a door for me last year and was satisfied with the result.

What's everyone have for garage doors? I am looking at a polyurethane insulated r-10 galvanized steel door from steel-craft. no idea if I am missing out on some more suitable materials here or not.

I'm replacing all of my doors this year. What's the recommendation for a heated garage?

I would call Tony at Best Doors Inc and ask his opinion.

I went with a Steel Craft Flush. R13 with double pane windows for not much more than their standard R10/single pane doors.

I've currently got Northwest and Clopay doors on mine, no complaints about either.

If you're the type to DIY garage door stuff, Wayne Dalton doors with the Torquemaster spring system are an absolute breeze to work on compared to the standard torsion spring setup.
