Default Second monitors connection to a laptop

I have this laptop that I wanted to add 1 or maybe 2 HDMI screens to for home support. I'd like to have different applications on each screen.

What sort of device would I need for this? I don't think a splitter would allow me to have different spreadsheets on each screen.

Not 100% certain but a lot of the laptop monitor plug ins are outputs only.

USB-C adapters with HDMI / Display port? or a monitor that support USB-C connection?

    This.

Get a dongle/adapter. Use the HDMI port to output to Monitor 1.
Use USB-C port to a adapter to output to Monitor 2. https://www.amazon.ca/IOGEAR-Compact...39649662&psc=1

I have what looks to be the same laptop. I used a USB C to HDMI adapter ($15 from Amazon) and can use all three screens independently.

Get yourself an HP UltraSlim Dock.
There's versions that are triple displayport/hdmi/vga mixed...

Did you get something like this?

I don't see how two screens can be connected to the laptop with it but in the description it says it can. I'm obviously lacking computer tech skills

What I got was more like this as I was using the existing HDMI cable that came with my second monitor: https://www.amazon.ca/Adapter-Thunde...s%2C129&sr=8-4

But yeah, you plug one monitor in via the HDMI port on the laptop, the second monitor you use the above mentioned adapter/cable to plug the HDMI in via the USB C port beside the charger connector.

    I suggest something like this.

Plug your monitors in and forget them. Only the USB-C connection to deal with when you want to be portable...

Thank you but I ordered one through Amazon and I'll see how it works out. Appreciate it
