Tsx swap it, you won’t find anything with that much utility again, I actually pinged 78si about that earlier this week

    Bump.

Now that's warm and I've had the winter to mull it over, I've decided I should get the car repaired so I have something to beat around in but I don't want to do the work as I don't have the time, tools or garage space anymore.

I'm still contemplating whether to swap the engine or just replace the head. Obviously, the swap is a more money and labor, but the better option as I start fresh with a low KM engine. On the other hand, the head swap is a bit cheaper to do and I really just want to squeeze another couple years or so out of this car and probably look into getting a new daily.

For a rebuilt 2008 with 300+km, I am ideally not looking for a shop to do this, because the in-house shop rates are going to kill me with the labor cost. Can anyone recommend a local mechanic with some time and willingness to do this type of work for a reasonably fair price? I've had some folks on Beyond contact me before regarding this, but I should also just put this out there officially to see if there is any more interest in taking on a job like this. I could even help and/or source the parts if needed!

    Thanks in advance.

I don't even know if Balance does "shop rates"... They just give out a price to get the job done and not once has it not been extremely fair. I'll support Jackie and that shop forever. So definitely +1 for them.
