A lot of history. Goes back to the Lindbergh baby, there was too much media circus so they banned cameras. It started to relax a bit in the 90s but then the OJ case happened - Ito allowed a single TV camera in the courtroom and it caused problems, so the courts swung back towards not allowing cameras.

It's far from across the board though, Rittenhouse was livestreamed. Largely depends on the court.
