Fairly sure there's still a set of 195 55 15 Dunlop Wintermaxx 2 there somewhere...an awkward size these days so no one ever needed them lol

The tread design and compound are a little different for the 1/2 tons...I only ever had good feedback on them tbh and especially at the price they're hard to beat

Yeah they absolutely do a decent job. Of course it will always vary on the specifics of vehicle, driving style and conditions, but it is a tire that is a good balance between wear and traction, especially if you do a ton of driving, and if you really want to elevate black ice traction etc they can be studded but that must be decided before initial use of course... Having 4WD versus just RWD really makes up for a lot of any tires short comings but they have always done a helluva job on my own vehicles.

I have them on my Silverado(from Urban Exp), studded and they have been great so far, haven't needed to use 4WD since they were installed.

can the wintercraft ice be studded? If so how much?

The WI31 is studdable… On the deal studding tires adds an extra $25 each…
