Nice! That sounds great, can't wait to see pics/vids once you have it on the road. Always loved these little 4x4 units. Good times.

That's going to be a badass little unit when you're done. You should put your watch logo on it somewhere with a wrap/whatever.
Right after I’m done installing the gun rest on the roll bar.

I haven't gotten a new plate since 2013, and I don't think I will. My three plates should do me for life.

Update,
I bought everything except the bulkhead.

So my plan is to get this to my garage from my office and strip it down to the frame, sandblast, then paint. Then i'll build from the bottom up including, axle and diff rebuilds, brakes. Put in a new clutch just cuz. Then i'll attach the body and dash n shit.
Who knows what kinda rotten drive shaft and crap i'll find so i may as well make it reliable. Perhaps an engine rebuild?

Teaching my 13 year old how to do donuts? Priceless. In the beginning of the video you can see my 6 dollar a pair front signal lights ghetto mounted. Heat only works on floor. The heater core had 6" of leaves piled on the top of it. Will clean it out once the dash comes off to transfer to the new body. Coolant is leaking near the bottom of the rad so i'll need to order some new hoses and perhaps a rad.

So i've decided to rebuild the entire cooling system.
New Rad
New Hoses
New Thermo
Yes it looks like a mess. I want to drive it to my home garage rather than work on it at the shop so the push to have no leaks.
Next up, i'll remove the front clip and body. Then off to sand blast when the snow melts.

Some goodies arrived. All aluminum body. I got the complete package because fuck it. I'm worth it. Fenders, grill, tailgate and tub.

I'm assuming careful disassembly and a frame clean up? Rid it of rust.
Not sure if you care or not (probably do) but aluminum to steel has some corrosion interactions.
You can get past it with the correct prep and I'm sure there's smarter people on here than me when it comes to this.

I will prep the mating points with gaskets. Yes the frame will be sandblasted and painted too. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Almost every fucking body bolt needs to be drilled out. Stubborn lil mini jeep.
I’ll tackle the pedals and dash next weekend. I’m tired AF.
