Fixing leaks. Rebuilding steering so it’s not such a loose meat sammich when I drive it.
Front end gettin done. It hasn’t ever been done. Still needs a lift suspension.

Ok so the front end and steering got rebuilt. Now the rear diff is leaking because the bearings are shot. I'll take the entire rear end apart and make it new. I'm going for reliability with this unit.
I sandblasted the nerf bars and painted them. Starting to look at little more masculine and less small n cute. Once I get the roll bar in the back welded and installed and the spare tire up it'll start lookin meaner.
LED lights to be installed later this week and some trim pieces need to be designed for the bottom of the fenders where they meet the main body as they are spaced weird. I haven't figured out what I want to do yet.

Such a great thread.
SJW, do you figure you'll have it "ready" (sort of is already, I'm guessing) for the winter, to have an awesome snow destroying unit to rip around in? I'm so jealous, I wish I had the skills to rebuild something like this...alas, most of my skills are about breaking things, smoke checking them, or otherwise destroying them.
This Suzi is so cool. Once the entire body and kit you were mentioning are installed, getting a huge samurai logo of custom design, looking like the traditional drawings, all over the front hood, would own all.
It won’t be ready for winter. I need paint and new suspension.
Right now I’m trying to get this fucking pinion out. All the bearings in the rear diff are sloppy.
Going to buy a bigger hammer tomorrow. I’m much too high to do any more tonite.

I like air hammer for brapping pinions out because they have that little divot in the center. BFH good too tho
Are you doing gears or just rebuilding?
Just changing bearings and seals. I did buy an air hammer though.

ATV for scale. In a holding pattern on this project. Waiting for some dough for the lift kit.

Are you changing the setup with the lift, like say coils and 4 link?
No i'm keeping the leafs and going with an old man ome 2" lift. If I had better welding skills i'd go the other route. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I'm too old to do any serious offroading. Mostly slow rollin.

Did some 3D printing. Now I need to order matching gauges. That tach is garbage and the volt meter was princess auto. Down the road I'll fix this up and maybe center this a little better or realize this is a bush buggy and not GAF.

Nice, I like that mount. If you wanted you could just do like a 3mm thick print of 1 panel to stick overtop of that whole set of gauges just to make it uniform. But TBH the way it is now kinda suits the overall look.
