One of the Highway 1 signs today said province wide ban, even though it’s not true to the south east. Am kind of expecting one everywhere tomorrow honestly

This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show QuoteWe recently cancelled our reservations for Boulton this weekend (before I'd seen this note). Would have been our third weekend in a row of camping after Elkwood & Writing on Stone. Between that and a two year old that's not sleeping well in tents... it wasn't gonna happen.
Most of southern Alberta fire bans are now lifted. Please carry on…
Only the counties. Every AB park and PRA still has a total fire ban listed in thier website.
No. They have fire restrictions, so campsite fires and atvs are allowed again. Only backcountry fires are still disallowed. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Red = ban. South from Jasper is open again.

Someone told me tunnel mountain campground was allowed fires on the long weekend. That surprised me.

Banff National Park has allowed fires the whole time. Whoever is making the decisions federally isn't a moron like the provincial one. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I dunno Darrell, the AB parks website says otherwise.
The AB Fire Bans website specifically contains a link to AB parks for use if you are visiting an alberta park, protected area, or recreation area.

I see that now. My guess is the parks just haven't updated yet. The Fire Bans website is from the actual environmentalists, not the parks and rec people that just restock the toilet paper.
Figured it out. I actually read the update and the new fire restrictions come into effect 10:00 Friday and today is not Friday.
AB Parks still showing total fire bans in ALL 287 Provincial parks. Everywhere else is varied based on your County, Municipal district or Forest Area.
Like this roller bag for my camp chef stove. RCB90 model. It's lovely and way better than using the cardboard box I've been using for years.

I booked something for that. Good sites still available.
Wife says we can't camp until the deck is built
I've had 5 days at home since April 12th
Busy season better slow down soon, I want to be out for most of July/August!
Very good chance I have a sept long weekend reso I can't use. Or Rather, a reso that goes over those dates that I can't use, if you know what I mean.
Where at?
