But seriously I don't know many ppl who have ever been to Detroit. Wonder who that route is supposed to be for. Right across the river from Windsor so maybe it's that? Is it just a plan to rotate cities and people will fly to wherever the direct flights go to? Detroit does have a pretty major airport so maybe its for more/better connections? Could also be demand the other way around...TONS of American visitors from all over the place coming to Banff from what I've encountered. Social media has made it a really popular destination in recent years.

Direct flights to DC and Chicago is a nice start. Would be nice to have directs to Miami again. For a weekend getaway those direct flights make all the difference.
DTW is a Delta hub - Westjet is partnered with DL - it's probably a bid to strengthen their relationship and reach within each other's networks. Windsor is also not far fetched.

Chicago is a massive United Hub too - Westjet used to fly 2x daily to Chicago so i'm happy to see it back with a decent time slot.

I hope they dont kill that Detroit flight as we have a family reunion there in Summer 2024.
Hope they extend the Calgary to Tokyo flight, right now it is available only until October.

And to avoid YYZ for connecting flights.

Avoiding Toronto is a valuable life strategy.

LoL, have you ever been? I haven't. I just recall having to sign maybe 4+ additional car rental forms in Orlando stating that we will NOT drive their car to Miami and that all insurance would be completely void if we did.
    Sounds chill.
I've never traveled through the MIA/FLL airports without seeing someone get arrested (and I've flown through them quite a few times). Even when I was just transiting and mostly stayed airside, 4 Sheriffs Deputies or whatever they were rolled up in Golf Carts to haul someone off a flight.

I assume this is a long carryover from whatever that thing was called when Fidel Castro "flushed the toilets of Cuba onto the beaches of Miami".
But I'm not much of a history buff.

Nah, they were usually white or black and crackheads, karens, or want to be gangsters. Latinos in Miami always seem the most friendly and chill, though also the most ridiculous with gold chains and silk shirts and shit.

Some crazy ass deals to Mexico from Sunwing right now.

Direct flights + 5 star for a week for $1000. Never seen prices this cheap in my 10 years of travelling there.

If a person is flexible, that's a great deal.

Thunder bay is an excellent source of: Trees, a river with brown water and being "only six hours from Minneapolis."
