Good deal!
Flair to Cancun
. Calgarians will soon have a low-fare airline option to get to Mexico.
Flair Airlines announced Wednesday it will start offering trips from Calgary to Cancun starting Dec. 17.
The flights, from Calgary International Airport to Cancun International Airport, will be offered three times weekly.

Maybe you do. Or maybe Calgarians do. And if Calgarians do this, this is exactly why Air Canada pulled out since it is a bed for low fare airlines where AC is now choosing to go put its planes on routes where it knows it can make money and not dick around with $2 fares that Looney Tuesday brings. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I'm pretty sure all airlines are doing this. They put their planes where they make money or on routes that feed the money makers. None of these airlines are in business to lose. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Unfortunately in Canada, all these small market towns tend to be money losers. It's why you see AC pulling out of Sask.

Air Canada losing less money and me not having to fly Air Canada sounds like a win win.

Jazz is circling the drain. I don’t see them being able to survive another 18 months, especially with the ULP case in front of the government right now.
...
WestJet Jazz still operates into Penticton and the Air Quebec herds can drive up to Kelowna. WTF is the problem here.
Jazz can’t hire enough qualified pilots to fly their airplanes. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Gotcha. Unfortunately that attitude permeates throughout most of this podunk country, not just the Okanagan. “There should be 5x daily 747 service to every city in the world from (insert beater BC mill town / quebec / maritime shithole here)”This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. On another note, Flair starting service to CUN is an interesting choice. That route is already over served by WJ, and Flair has absolutely gutted their domestic schedule for the winter, nationwide in favour of north-south flying, with no way to really feed it.
On the plus side, it’s a free week of vacation when Flair cancels due to “weather” and you’re stuck in Mexico on your own dime.
