Default Shipping a car within Canada

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience shipping a car within Canada. I'm looking to ship my car from Calgary to Halifax. I went to Hansen's and filled out the online quote but I probably won't get that back for a few days and I'm looking for a ball park price to see if it is worthwhile.

    Thanks much

Count on $1000 with hansens to go calgary to halifax.
They are a good company and we use them for most of our shipping in Canada.

That's probably a corporate rate as I've heard it is upwards of 1000 to Toronto

Jlude, I'm looking to get it out it here to Nova Scotia as soon as possible. I'm coaching a Peewee hockey team and I need a car to get to games and practices, taking cabs and getting rides with parents is not easy as a coach.

oh, so you're in NS right now?

why don't you fly out and drive it back?

or is that not an option?

It's a possibility, but not realistic as I go to school here and that would take about a week to do, and classes don't end till december

No, My date retired in a small town not far from there.

    I grew up in N.B.

I don't really know you, but If you're willing to pay, I'd drive the car down... fuck, I've got nothing else better to do.

I paid $1100 taxes in from Montreal to Calgary when I came out here with SeaRail. They took my car from Ottawa to Montreal (nearest SeaRail terminal) on a flatbed for that price also.

They did tell me that if I were a dealership, or had a business to make payment from then would qualify for their corporate rate which was closer to $700 if I remember correctly.

Took ~1.5-2 weeks and I would deal with them again.

AMA PLUS would cover this tow. $80 membership would be well worth it.

Edit: just verified, it's $101 and covers 160km only now, used to be 250km

    Bump,

Looking to get a vehicle shipped from Halifax to Calgary, I tried Hansens and they are around $3500. Other option is via rail but need a ground clearance of 5" minimum. I am looking at a Viper. Any others you guys may recommend?

I know Chris does cross-country transport, might be worth a call

No idea about his pricing though, just that he's a solid dude

Anything baller I'd use Thorsons. Most professional vehicle shipper I've ever used.
