Better try a VA panel.
I have IPS panels and tried a VA. Couldn't do it.

I'll have to go to MemX then and check a VA panel out. My current LG is a 22in IPS panelThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I have 4 of these in my home office. Not sure it has the splitting feature although there are applications for that. No complaints.

I have an 40" UW (5120x2160)... and I can only share specific windows / dialogs.
check warehouse deals on amazon - screens get heavy discounts. Bought 3 there now - one had a scratch, on the stand (their notes said 10% on bezel or some such)
Just sayin'.
What about using a 4k TV? I run a 50" Samsung at home and its effectively 4x 24" monitors. I would recommend sizing down to like a 40" or so because mine is a bit too big. Then download Microsoft PowerToys and set up FancyZones to be able to snap windows to different parts of your screen to keep it neat and tidy

solid advice, I also bought my LG 27" monitor from Amazon used couple of years ago, it was rated as Used - Like New and saved me 150$This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
that UW seems to be good if you are not a gamer

@AndyL good deal! But it'll say 'used' in the receipt and has to be 'new'. But at $565 new, it's not too far out of budget!
The coffee maker I just grabbed off warehouse deals - doesn't say used anywhere on the Amazon invoice... YmmvThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I checked my previous Amazon Warehouse Deal orders and it says "Condition: Used - Like New" on the order page, but if you download the invoice as a PDF, which I'm assuming you do to submit the expense, it doesn't say anything about it being used.
buy new, print receipt, return/cancel and buy the used oneThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Between the one that you quoted and this curved version for $497, which of the two would you do?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

The WQ is newer, more colours and higher bit depth, but lacks a speaker.
I would personally go with the WQ if it you can swing it.

Monitors are so user/desk specific - I have an awesome 4k 24" LG ultrafine... But It's pretty much turned to my secondary display because in practice - I find I prefer to work off the LG ultragear 32GK60W-B. Reviews/recommendations all say the ultra fine is awesome - and the ultragear is meh... Maybe it's my eyes and use case - everyone's different and the specs mean nothing if it doesn't work for yours.
Yeah 4k on a 24" would be tiny haha. Like 4k 13" laptops, like why

My brain says it's a 27, Google says it's a 24 (I just remember same model as the Mac 4k and if it's good enough for apple snobs...), I'll have to actually look at the model number tonight if it really matters, about same height as my ultragear, just doesn't have that extra width. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. It's great for some things especially in cad - but most of the time it's where chrome and discord sit these days while I do things on the ultragear...
I have a 34 uw for work but I find it a bit small to split in half. I think ideal would be 40/42 but those are pricey.
I've tried 2/3 1/3 split and it's not bad, especially if the 1/3 bit is meant for reading documents/emails/Teams/etc.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
