I'm looking for a reliable and mature babysitter so that I don't have to rely on family all the time. I'm in Cougar Ridge so closer the better. Anyone able to share recommendations?
TIA

My kid's certified day home does offer an overnight/evening service without tv or pop ingestion. Maybe one in your area will also?
(I haven't utilized this service myself)

Using someone else's nanny as your babysitter is a win/win.
Generally with a babysitter you don't need much from them in terms of keeping the kids busy.
Advertise at the local comunity centre, and you will hit the nanny crowd, as well as the parents of teens, who are the other alternative.

Accurate. More often than not when my wife takes our kids to the park, she comes home with a story about an imported nanny was sitting on her phone, completely ignoring the child they were supposed to be caring for. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
After age 2, the kid at the park shouldn't need any help or close interaction with the parent. Let the kid run wild.
Yea sitting on the phone while my kid plays is dads job

Daycare: Kids usually doing something structured, attempting to learn, interacts with care takers, interacts with kids,
Nanny: Kid does whatever, gets fed, nanny does phone things, kid watches coco melon and rots their brains
This is the meat of what I was trying to say. I hope I laid it out clearly now.
