I asked it if Jesus Christ could microwave a burrito so hot that he himself could not eat it.

I've used it to code SQL and autolisp routines in seconds. It didn't take long to modify the code to work with our systems.
When this goes public its gonna be a game changer.

Genuinely curious what the convoy conspiracy types think of this? All part of Agenda 2030?... this will replace so many jobs, it's kind of scary, maybe these crazies are right?

Has anyone asked this thing to write a code for a sentient AI?
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

People say this will end all tech jobs but the same was said with GPS run road building equipment.
But a staff of 5 are still needed to put out the cones and never retrieve them.
Or websites didn't end Realtors. They're still bagging deals and golfing.
It’s still statistical computation, so it’s still prone to a lot of error.
How do I buy a pizza with 9 fictional coin of Chat-GPTs and then start stealing everyone's actual money and hiding on an island?
This feels bottomy.
The previous mention of "it's confidently wrong" really applies. And it's as bad at math as the rest of us...
That said - it's pretty good for debugging for non-programmers like me. It figured out what I did wrong in an arduino program. It's also pretty good at documenting the code - we know thats never a problem of the code has no notes no explanations just random &^%$ thrown in
That said you might have to tell it to continue for it to not stop halfway through...
Ah so it’s reached co-worker levels of intelligence.
Could increase intelligence for some. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

And just like that ChatGPT came out of the Dark Ages.
That was quick.

Its too bad that I can't find Rob Anders old ChatGPT 1.0 (actually it was a different company, but I digress) parliament speeches.
There was that one that ended in "Go Flames Go" that was obvious to anyone who knew of the technology back then. Jokes on him that the guy he hired to make his speeches, was actually just inserting into it the computer overnight to auto generate something to talk about, lol. That it actually passes as human effort in a place like the Federal government is pretty nuts though.
As for computer programmers getting code off of it: It seems slightly more genous than getting credit for hiring *cough* copying from *cough* a programmer from India for $2/hour through most of the 1990s.
The lazy person is often the successful one, as Bill Gates alludes to all the time. If Laziness had a grandmaster, Rob Anders would be the boi, much respect.
