Snowy enough that the truck slid backwards trying to pick up my blue bin this morning and just decided fuck it, and never emptied it. My neighbor apparently has it on video. Just kept sliding backwards every time it tried to line up with my bin, said fuck it, backed up to the bottom of the hill and yolo'd it to the top. Skipped a few of us.

Wish it would snow like this on Monday morning so I could WFH
Accident by Crossfield. Stuck on qeii as a result. Oh joy.
Todays snow clearing was a work out. There’s just a lot of it
I saved a janky old 5HP Sears snowblower from going to the scrapyard last summer and today I am very glad I did.
Workmate just sent me this from yesterday on Hwy 2 at Carstairs
^Holy fuck!
Definitely a classic case of slow drivers causing accidents. As usual.
The highways were fucking brutal. The wind and blowing snow were creating skating rinks.
Highway 2 just North of Aldersyde had trucks getting stuck on the highway because they couldn't get up the hills. Then the people behind them would get stuck and compound the problem.
The above picture isn't a case of slow drivers its the fact that people would follow too close or not use proper techniques in slowing down.
The other thing I've noticed is people seem to think in these conditions "hazard" lights are a good idea and still drive 90+ on the highway and not slow down or stay in a lane and not let people pass.
I went to the dollar store, spent $11, and went home glad I don't have a need to go any further today. Sent the wife out to bearspaw to some kid thing. Better her than me. Rip.
if you are going to drive significantly below the speed limit I would rather people do it with their hazards on rather than the typical ignoramuses who do it anyway without their cars lights even on.
