So here she is, my little project. It's a W124 in SurfBlau, which is a super rare color and from what I've been told, the only one here.
This was sold to me as not running, with both fenders rusted through and concrete mix drops all over the car. I still havent moved it from my buddies place, but I did go and pull the fenders off to see if I can salvage them, but it was a no go.
It came with an extra fender which didn't need much work at all to be perfect, the other one I found at pick n pull the other day with a huge kink near thee door/A-pillar and a couple other dings, but 0 rust.
The father in law and I started work on the fenders. Here's a pic of the passenger fender that needed some real metal massaging in the corner, you might notice the A-pillar arch is not really an arch, but now it's perfect, after took this pic lol
Its lowered on H&R springs and koni shocks, so I ordered some fender spacers for it to keep the wider wheels from rubbing.
When I went to take the fenders off, I figured I'd try and start it, see what happens. 2nd try and it fired right up, no hesitation, idles perfect, shifts perfect.
It may still have a possible fuel issue, but ill look into it further when I have it home, possibly next week. I'll update when I start to try and get the concrete splashes off of it, my buddy has some stuff thats specifically for removing concrete.
Then, recharge AC and I'll probably bring it into someone that can bring the paint back to life, then drive this fucking thing around come spring.
