Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

Well back to the drawing board. My step dad aka my painter found a pin hole that turned into a wierdly poor fix. Gonna take alot of work to get this fender good, so im on the hunt for another one.

Edit: pics of the damage. I thought at first it was fiberglass, but its not.

Hey saw your post just wanted to pass on some info about the car. Was my first car

I bought this car from the original owner's daughter for $1000 in 2013. Was rough, had bad tires broken windshield, springs, stone chipped headlights needed lots of maintenance.

Original owner did European delivery and had it shipped over. It is a special order colour, very very few w124's and a few more w123's had it but mostly overseas. had USDM headlights from factory but still had the reflective warning triangle in the trunk which is hopefully still there. Also came with the OEM manufacturing tags describing interior features in German, not sure if they are still with the car. Also has really nice floormats that I haven't seen in any other w124 maybe factory accessory? Interior is absolutely mint!

Their family had an acreage out by Vulcan, AB. Owners children drove it around Lethbridge area commuting put a lot of KM's on it. Most km are from highway driving

    Things I did to it:

    - Vogtland springs
    - Sourced OEM 17" monobocks, they're kinda beat but drive good. (I painted them 744 brilliant silver not sure who made them grey)
    - Kenwood stereo
    - 90-93 trunk panel retrofit
    - OEM w124 94-95 tail lights
    - OEM Hella euro silver headlights + dark amber corner lights (Expensive but waaaaaay better than DOT shit) + got city lights working
    - Euro vacuum headlight leveling retroit, sourced from ebay.de (was very hard to do but kinda cool)
    - Ceramic window tint 50% front 20% rear
    - Lots of maintenance OEM style aluminum Rad, New alternator, Timing cover seals etc, too much to mention and probably needs to be done again now

Glad to see you're giving it the attention it deserves, it was and probably still is a solid car!

How does it drive? I'm curious to know. Hopefully she treats you well

Its a wonderful car but if you ever want to sell it please let me know

@drkdvn This is awesome, thanks for clarifying this. My buddy got the wheels professionally powdercoated and actually looks really good in person. It deserves the attention for sure, and it needs alot of it. I havent really driven it yet, only in and out of the shop, so I'll find that out eventually.

Was hoping sooner than later but having to source another fender is putting a chink in the plans. I'll keep you posted if I ever decide to sell it.

Fenders painted. Bringing the car home on Monday to try and fix the rest of the paint, pit the fenders on and see if I can get it on the road.

Got the car loaded up and brought home today. Couldn't get it started, thinking it has somethjng to do with the distributor/rotor/cap so trying to figure that out.

I did however spray the solution I got from my buddy, some elbow grease, then a bit of a wash before the rain started and although there are alot of imperfections, it look 10x better.

Love the build, but personally I wished it wasnt this color. It looks too modern to fit that era.

Update: oil in the distributor. Cam shafted seal off, looking for a new one now.

Update again. Changed the cam shaft seal, no change. Gonna try a new cap and distributor, maybe these ones are fucked from the oil, I dunno.
