Past couple pieces from Merc I ordered I had this mentality and ended up with things a bit too big on me that I don't wear them. So this time while ordering from McLaren I had the opposite mentality and now you're telling me I am fucked again. Fuck.

RBR had 40% off so I grabbed a Japan GP Sakura hat for cheap.

I couldn’t find it on the track so saved a lot of cash lol
Awe I wish I knew that.

I’m typically a large to xl. I got xl and had to give it to a friends wife. I got 3xl and the neck is still super tight but the rest is perfect. Good luck, the material is very nice. Let’s go Lando!!

God damn. I was thinking of going XXL (normally I am also L/XL) and that's what I did with Merc stuff and found XXL too big. So this time ended up ordering XL with McLaren.

Let me know if your friend's wife want more shit. Haha.

I guess I will pass on the gear to my brother or something. Oh well since it was 60% off, I ended up with a nice track jacket and a quarter zip jacket for less than $150 so whatever.

Apple looking to buy F1 worldwide streaming rights.

    https://9to5mac.com/2023/09/30/apple...v-sports-deal/

With Vision Pro coming out next year and a push for VR sports experiences (NBA is reportedly about to sign on), F1 with so many streams broadcast live is a perfect match for Apple to build a sports vr tech showcase.

Seems like an odd sporting partner considering the very in your face carbon emissions aspect.

Hey look our watch bands are carbon neutral, but be just gave a car racing series a few billion.

F1 is on the same “carbon neutral” path as Apple. Carbon zero by 2030. Bio fuel for 2026. I mean it’s all bullshit, but it’s the same bullshit.

So I got my two items and I tried them on today and they are a perfect size. They fit exactly how I like my stuff typically, not too baggy and not too tight. There’s no room for them to shrink in any significant manner but as long as they stay this way, I am happy with them. I had ordered exact same looking items but one is a track jacket and the other is a quarter zip pull over.

Has anyone done a Middle East race? After doing Suzuka, I feel like there would be other races that are easier to commute to.

I was thinking Singapore or Melbourne, but maybe Saudi/Qatar/Bahrain would be easy to get to the track?

Willingly going anywhere in the middle east isn't on my list of things to do personally. I vaguely recall someone on here going to Bahrain though I think?

Can't even have a beer in some of those countries ... eff that. I'd go to Melbourne or Singapore in a heartbeat though.

Is COTA or Montreal accessible? Melbourne tickets were hard to get. Singapore 2025 might be feasible.

Singapore is tiny AF and the race is right in down town. Same with Montreal. So if you want easy access both would work. Flight to Singapore isnt exactly cheap tho.

Having been to both, public transport during both races were well thought out and getting around is relatively easy during such a big event.

You can take the train to the nearest station by the island the Montreal track is on, it's busy as fuck obviously with race weekend but you can wait for the crowds to die down.

COTA I've read you can get dropped off nearby the track and take shuttles, or rent a car and deal with traffic/find best parking options. I haven't been to COTA yet so no personal experience, Montreal is fine imo for transportation.
