COTA also has camping which reduces how many people actually have to commute back to the city. You would need to rent a car or find a shuttle though, Montreal is really easy with transit you just have to be patient.

COTA I preferred to Montreal for the atmosphere and the location/size of the place in general. But COTA is a pain. I drove and parked at one of their parking lots which was like $40USD or something so not bad, but it was a good 25 mins walk to the track from there following the signs. The signs are are everywhere so not hard to navigate but traffic is crazy. After it finished we were in slow moving (less than 5 km/h traffic for a good hour before hitting the road when everything opened up).

Singapore is tiny AF and the race is right in down town. Same with Montreal. So if you want easy access both would work. Flight to Singapore isnt exactly cheap tho.

Having been to both, public transport during both races were well thought out and getting around is relatively easy during such a big event.
    Sweet thanks!

You can take the train to the nearest station by the island the Montreal track is on, it's busy as fuck obviously with race weekend but you can wait for the crowds to die down.

COTA I've read you can get dropped off nearby the track and take shuttles, or rent a car and deal with traffic/find best parking options. I haven't been to COTA yet so no personal experience, Montreal is fine imo for transportation.

Looks like Montreal would be a fun place to get tickets, if I can. I hear it's quick to sell out but I'll try for 2025.

Based on your description about COTA @shak , I think I'd rather be 2 hours in a car than 2 hours in Suzuka commuting by train, standing room only sometimes + walking to the track + then your section

    No ragrets going though.

When we did COTA, we took the shuttles from Downtown to the track. It was pretty straightforward, and I'd totally recommend it. We managed to go the whole weekend without needing to rent a car, just walked around downtown. Car would make it easier, but I'd _still_ take the shuttle.

I am too fuckin bougie for public transporation, so I rather deal with more inconvenience, which includes walking long distances over taking over-crowded shuttles.

Not sure if the COTA shuttles have improved but when we went in 2015 the line to get onto a shuttle was over an hour long. Either way COTA is a bit out of the way.

Miami wasnt bad at all but it was the inaugural race so they limited attendance for a dry run. The shuttles from the bus/train station didnt have huge lines and getting a Uber from the bus/train station was easy and the traffic wasnt too bad. It took us ~35-40 mins to get to hard rock stadium from south beach. Not sure how it is now since they released more tickets. One thing for sure is that I wouldn't reccomend taking a Uber right to the venue.

Does the COTA race have rally buses?

They have become popular in the states (basically crowd funded charter buses)

In 2018, I walked onto a bus with no wait. It wasn't overcrowded and we got to sit the whole time. Not sure if that's still the case.

    No mention of Lance's melt-down?

Rumour mill is that Lance's Mom got scared with his last crash, his Dad is working on selling the team to the Saudis, and Tsunoda might move seats given the AM/Honda engine tie-up.

I saw the tantrum but didn’t know about daddy Stroll unloading

That’s a big change if Tsunoda moves with Alonso

Maybe Liam will get a seat after all

The way Perez and McLaren are performing, he might even get Checo's seat (though I would think they would prefer an experienced guy like DR).

If RBR somehow snipes Lando it could be interesting

Pirelli struggling hard this weekend. Track layout had to get adjusted mid weekend to reduced the cars hitting two of the curbs. If that’s not enough they’ll mandate maximum 20 laps on each tire which would mean a minimum 3 stop race tomorrow.

Ironically today also announced Pirelli was also selected to continue being the tire manufacturer and Bridgestone didn’t end up taking over.

My daughter (5yo) always reminds me that her favorite driver is Hamilton. Where did I go wrong.

I finally got sports channels back online. Lo and behold F1 is starting.

WTF happened at the start? Lewis tries to box in Russell. That fails, in a last ditch attempt he tries a half Schumacher chop and gets slapped out. Do we think he is sour that Max won his 3rd championship? Or he was trying to prove Rocky Movie style 'You Adriane, I still got it, I still got it.' but landed flat on his face?

Oh well Lap 10 of 57. Im gonna go make a cup of tea.

    Where is everyone?

It's literally Max and Hamilton at Silverstone. Racing incident. You'd think the 2 would've discussed the start though so they wouldn't fuck each other over like that especially with 1 driver taking alternate strategy.
