Imola cancelled due to flood
Hoping it gets moved to the weekend after Hungary but they are pretty tight-lipped about whether it's a postponement or a total scrub.
I know 6 or 7 people going and was supposed to join them but decided not to on account of the pricey accommodation this year compared to last year. One guy even has a transatlantic flight. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I heard the F1 broadcast tent is in 2ft of water and they had damaged equipment... likely helped force their hand.
Are there insurance implications based on postponment vs. cancellation? I'll assume there is?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Spa is the weekend after Hungary. It would have to be between Silverstone and Hungary but that means 4 races weekends in a row before the Summer break...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ah shoot, I had Spa/Hungary reversed in my head. I was thinking they'd cut a week out of the summer break to run Imola but it would require buy-in from the teams. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Shitty timing; the giant gap left by the Chinese GP getting cancelled needed a race but just the wrong time of year unfortunately.
Feels bad for everyone that flew there for the event

I hope the rocket ship is back but I am not holding my breath.
Hasn't Merc basically said they don't expect a significant performance gain via these changes but rather it'll be a testing step for them to see if they finally understand their issues?

This season is gone I don't think anyone will touch RBR. - Especially them sandbagging the performance they have more on their hand if they need. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I hope this closes the gap and gives Merc better baseline for next years car.
Only 6pts to AMR, I think these upgrades should put Mercedes solidly in 2nd place given Stroll's inconsistency.
But Stroll is going to hit the wall in Q3 while Alsono is in P1 and Red Flag the session so that Papa Nando can get the trophy. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Straight to production at other teams lol

Well the Merc is no special this year so doubt teams are going to be jumping to copy their underbody. Now Perez's car with underbody exposed, I am sure everyone can use that to their advantage possibly. Haha.
EDIT: That was a pretty fun quali. Sucks on the end result would have been nice to see Alonso or LecLerc take it but shows how fast the RBR really is. The guy is significantly down in the first 2 sectors and clips barriers along the way and still manages to take pole.

The most exciting Quali that I remember. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I love Monaco just for the quali, even if tomorrow will likely be a snoozefest.
- Great qualy
- Freaking Max and that monster last sector
- Fuck my fantasy lineup sucks this weekend
- Race is going to be snooze fest but here’s hoping Alonso can get the jump off the line

The unfortunate part of Monaco is the drivers settle in as there is much room.
The start essentially makes the race unless anyone breaks down.
