That's funny as Miami and Vegas would probably be at the very bottom of my list for two reasons.

    1) Obnoxiously expensive for what you get. They're both riding the Drive to surive / new to america high and as a result everything so marked up and just meant to siphon money it's not appealing. Even with a huge budget it just feels offensive when you see the drink and food prices. At least at some of the European races you feel like you get decent value for your money at the event and especially the camping ones.
    2) I'd rank any race that gets F2 & F3 races much higher. Montreal is a beautiful venue and the city itself is amazing but the lack of feeder races makes is miss the mark. It's far more fun watching a practice then a spring race then another practice then a GP then back to FP3 and more races then qualy ... etc.
That's mostly accurate. I guess when I said Miami and Vegas I was more so thinking of the 'fun trip' side rather than a 'good race' side, Haha. You definitely need deep pockets to have any fun in those cities in the best of times and it's only going to be significantly worse during races. I was supposed to go to Miami, Montreal and Vegas this year and Miami didn't happen as one of the friend's had to go out of country. Montreal is happening next weekend and I still might hit-up Vegas one.

I went to Suzuka in 2012 and it was awesome. Japan is a great country to visit even without an F1 race. Suzuka itself is a great track for racing and is also a classic track for long time fans.

The problem with Spa is that it's in the middle of nowhere. The race weekend in itself would be great but not a lot of tourism to do outside of that... Aachen, Liege?
Could say the same about Suzuka. Its quite a cool experience but to get there is a pretty big PITA.

Suzuka is close to Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara so even if you only have ten days and check out a couple of them and the track, it's still a great trip.

Looks like from Kyoto there's a 40 min bullet train, 40 min express train, and short taxi or bus to the track.

I'm not even sure where you'd try to get to Spa from? Brussels or Paris I guess - which are nice but ~150km away I think.

It's easier to start from Nagoya to Suzuka Circuit than Kyoto.

Grabbing tickets is a PITA though. It's not automated so you have to collect tickets

At Montreal this weekend in grandstand 34 at the hairpin.

Absolutely packed for FP1 and FP2. Lots of old timers disgruntled with the new popularity from drive to survive lol

What's this thing looking like? I got a couple of friends there but they're not hardcore racing fans.
Is qualifying done? Is it the typical high qualifiers? Any surprises?

I gotta say, F1 was more fun before the invasion of the normies.

That's too bad I'll have to figure that out, watched a dozen or so laps with the Ferrari crew, have some unique photos to share.
