The Haas livery has always been pretty slick. I quite liked the Rich Energy design up until it all turned into a scam.
I also liked it, other than the fact it was a blatant 'Lotus JPS' rip off

I booked my Montreal GP tickets and flights tonight. Hate fuckin scalpers and whole concept but since we couldn't make Miami work I had to do at least Montreal so ended up getting gouged on Stubhub. Didn't book the whole weekend as I figured Sunday race is good enough. When I went to Austin even though I had the whole weekend, we never ended up going until Sunday anyway.

Fuck, been a pain. Wanted to be close to the circuit so you can imagine an Airbnb that is normally under $150/day is $1K plus/day for the F1 weekend that is remotely close to the circuit. I booked two different ones and they both canceled the next day (I imagine in the hopes of charging even more). We found a hotel in downtown which is a 20 min drive from the circuit which was around $700/night (L'Appartement). It's not a great place but will do the job and it's just us boys so we aren't picky with a place to stay. Maybe sold out by now but if not I would suggest to lock it down ASAP.

You been to the race before? Our seats are at the hairpin. How long does it take to get off the island?

I sat at the hairpin a few years ago. To be honest i dont recall how long it took to get anywhere. But I felt that everything was super efficient. Didnt feel like it's a gongshow like the European tracks.

I haven't been to the Montreal race before - first time.

Austin I thought was a gong show when it came to traffic and stuff that's why this time wanted something as close to the circuit as possible.

Getting off the island takes a long time, I went last year and if you wait until the Race/pole is done and plan on heading out same time as everyone its a mess.
It moves quick but expect to stand in like for 30-40 min before getting access to the metro

I walk the track, usually drunk as fuck. Then I drink in the beer gardens until they kick us out, watching the fools jump into the lake and get chased by security.

Aslo I heard they no longer allow you to bring in your own alcohol. Which sucks.

metro? we just taxi everywhere and the line gets moving pretty quick tbh. you cant expect to get off in 10 mins. it's 300k people. you havet been to any big city if you think 30-40mins in a queue is long.

Reminder that they recently changed it that you can't bring alcohol into the Montreal GP any more

Lining up is the worst part. I don't mind the gouge. Canadian GP hasn't been profitable forever. It's basically propped up by Quebec government yearly, so all our tax dollars because of transfer payments.
