Money is definitely a factor, and being associated with a brand like Ferrari is never a bad thing. People say players/drivers make enough money already, but look at CR, he's willing to play in a beer league in Saudi for 100s of millions.

On a serious note. I think B. Legacy. To enter F1 and Race for Ferrari is big. Especially with Lewis's record. I don't think money is a big factor (im sure it did play a small part).
I am excited with Ferrari behind him what he can pull off.
Its like playing football (Soccer). You could win titles with medium or small clubs. But to end a career with a big club with history creates a small legacy. We all want that.
Thierry Henry Played for Arsenal and won may titles and cups. In the end he moved to Barcelona and ended his (main) career there.

If money was the factor it is a known secret that Ferrari chased him for some time. He would have signed with them a long time ago and made more millions.
I firmly believe that he looked at all the Options that was available to him to see which one presented him the best option for #8.

Saw a rumor that says Hamilton might've followed because the head of performance, Loic Serra, left Merc for Ferrari for '25. Apparently, they'd been having disagreements the past couple years in terms of the no pods concept Merc was going towards.
