I might actually watch this race just to see if RBR doesn't win 100% of the races this season.
It was a wild quali - the driver market looks more shakey now...

No idea how Stroll will stick with it if he's this bad. Tsunoda and Sargeant also seem at risk now given how quickly Lawson has come up to speed.

Ricciardo isn’t coming back with how well Lawson is doing.

It doesn't reflect well on Tsunoda though and maybe Ricciardo + the Hugo Boss sponsorship is more beneficial/marketable for AT than the Honda/Tsunoda connection for RBR.

    Or Ricciardo replaces Perez...

Russell fucked the team. Lewis setup for race, had better race pace the entire race, and a solid 1/2 sec pace on mediums at the end. Russel leaving Hamilton no space lost him a bunch at start. If ham was ahead, would’ve been a merc win if everything played out same way. Was also surprised merc gambled on both cars with the final stop. I called for putting ham on gamble strategy and leaving Russel on position. That would’ve been Ham Sainz Russell finish in hindsight, with a pissed off russell complaining, but way better for team. And if ham couldn’t pass, 2nd for Russell.

That was a crazy race. So nice seeing non-RBR battle it out for the podium.

Really is crazy seeing how once Max is out of contention the race lead becomes so much more nail biting. The whole field really is bunching up in terms of performance. If they all can take a step forward again next year copying much of the redbull style it could be a great season next year

Great job by sainz, teaming up with lando worked great. George was having a good weekend, seemed on the last stint ham was a little better. Shows George still has a way to go in making the right choices, max has got past that point of I’m sure George will too.

What’s going on with Yuki was it just a flat? Danny and Liam next year??

I dont see Perez sticking at red bull next year contract or not...., if he is to stay he better have a stellar last few races.

I see yuki going to AM with honda and i think lance is done as well...

Double the joy as both Ocon and Russell DNF.

Can Lawson take the RBR seat next year? typical RBR strategy to throw some rookie beside Max and hope for the best.

People keep shitting on Perez but honestly there’s really nothing Perez has cost RB this year aside from crashing and showing their new floor was a dumb one.

He’s still easily scoring second in the WDC. He doesn’t fighting Max and causing inter-team issues as RB is all in on Max. And if anything Perez has got more air time for RB all season as most of the time the broadcast just ignores Max coasting out front.

Say you drop Norris in … what does RB honestly gain? Same standings, same everything else this season except maybe Norris fights on track more with Max which is good for viewership but honestly isn’t good for the team. If they dump Perez for Yuki they still have to pay his 10 mill contract so it actually costs the team more money to dump him than just run him one more year and figure their other driver situation out.

Exactly my thoughts. Feel bad for Russell but under pressure performance is what matters and makes the difference between a good and a great driver. He bottled it. I am convinced if lewis was ahead, he would have won. And what's with no fucking team attending to celebrate with lewis at the podium? This is the second time this is happening and doesn't send a good message about how much respect the team has for him.

Honestly I think Merc dropped the ball themselves by not splitting the strategy. I get them both wanting new tires but Russell easily could've held 2nd by just staying out during the VSC. Singapore is notoriously hard to pass on so I get they were trying to gamble for the win but pitting both cars to just follow each other was the real mistake.

Max pooped on everyone in qualifying, so fast.

Stroll has to be toast, terrible season for him when if their car has fallen off as the season has gone on

Williams better be calling up Red Bull asking for Lawson next year.

Doubt it’ll happen because Lawrence will never fire his kid but I really do think this is the perfect time to ditch Stroll and for AMR to sign Lawson. Clearly he’s got skills to compete and AMR are finally starting to have a more competitive car and hopefully take a step forward again next year to be back in the top 3
