Also, American History X is a great 90's movie for young teens. If you pay attention to the entire movie, it's a positive message.

Somehow I got this mixed up with 6th Day because I remember them shooting at the Vancouver Central Library.

    Both are meh.

I love this thread. Some amazing suggestions here. I know it says 90s but I just watched Last Samurai with my 11 year old and he absolutely loved it.

    Also Rush Hour lol

Leon The Professional. Recently rewatched it and I was blown away by how good Natalie Portman was as an actor at 12 years old. The "open the door" scene hit me pretty hard now that I have a daughter.

Leon tonight. Kid seemed a little confused for parts, but the pacing is very different from what's used these days. And fuck is Gary Oldman creepy in that.

Makes me want to watch that other Luc Besson 90s classic next.

Has Days of Thunder been mentioned yet? It should have been since it's the best 90s movie. Also Hot Shots 1 and 2.

I liked the sequel better when they promoted him from the pit to a #2 driver. SHAKE AND BAKE!

Followed up Leon with Fifth Element. More Gary Oldman and Luc Besson.

Cousin Eddie is awesome in that movie.

I remember the trailers on TV for that movie - "Double the Van Dammes, double the Van Dammage!". No better trailer quote. Ever.

edit - How could I, or anyone, forget The Fifth Element. One of my favorite films, 90s or otherwise. Ruby Rhod!

The weird sexual energy between the two was off putting, but hey, it is a French flick.

    Incredible otherwise.

Oh, man, that's an oldie. Saw it as a kid. Saw it a few days ago, was on something stupid like movie time recently. Still incredible.

I hate the new superhero movies, each trying to outdo the other with seizure inducing special effects, but terrible otherwise.

Beware the passive aggressive Mean Girls. Vengie, Killramos, Penismightier, buster, jrscoolude, etc who bully others into their circle jerk opinion, serially negging you, while claiming they ignore you and don't obsess over you.

Went right off the board and watched the 1984 David Lynch Dune today with the 14 year old. Kid loved it. Wife was not impressed. She's never seen it.

Such a wild experience. It's like half the story.
