Default Ultimate 90's movies to watch with your kids or teens

Recently watched Demolition Man with my 13 year old. They loved it. Thinking Wayne's World next.

What 90s movies have you watched with your kid?

Bill and Ted. Not the 90s, but 80s, The Wizard, The Goonies etc.

Is it weird that I kinda hate the goonies and don't understand why it's this classic? Story is bad, it's not funny, and acting sucks.

Different age, but I have found a life hack of playing old 90’s video games with my kid.

My kid loves watching me play banjo kazooie and it doesn’t make me want to develop a meth habit like most of the shows she watches.

90s is such a weird qualifier for films to watch with kids once they get old enough. I went through the Tarantino movies one by one with our teen and it was pretty mind blown for him.

Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura, Ronin, any Bond movie from the 90s, Men in Black. +1 for Waynes World. Dazed and Confused was a classic, same with Pulp Fiction but both are probably not "watch with your kid" material, depending on the age of the kid.

I downloaded the classic NES games for my kids on Switch. Pretty fun!

Yeah my wife and I re-watched all the Tarantino movies not that long ago, and they're great. Same with Guy Ritchie (basically just Lock Stock, and Snatch).

My kiddo loved Short circuit - but that's 80s not 90s. And top gun, which led to years of pain and suffering about when TG2 would be released.

Ronin, nice call. I really like that one.

My own kids aren't ready for Tarrantino. But soon!

If you're in Grade-4, it's super cool to tell everyone that you watched Squid Games. Either they are lying, or some parents need to have some boating accidents.

I showed mine the Ace Ventura butt talking scene. That went over very well.

If we’re talking 90s, the game. Make sure they’re old enough to appreciate it, can’t watch it for the first time twice.

Some of these doesn't need to be teenager to watch. Or maybe I'm just a bad parent. Started watching the Nicolas Cage Beige Volvo trilogy of Face/Off, Con Air, and The Rock with my 7 year old haha. I don't think there's any movies in that list I wouldn't watch with him.

But I'm guessing the Nick Cage binge stops before Leaving Las Vegas...

The live action TMNT movies are pretty cool to watch with kids. We all liked #2 the best

Not really 90s, but my 5yo son also really liked Herbie Fully Loaded (with Lindsay Lohan before she got all weird).

I'm currently replaying the re-release of Goldeneye 007 on Xbox, very nostalgic. Might be 2000's but from the graphics you could convince me otherwise.

How about some Unforgiven? The Fugitive, Shawshank Redemption, Boys in the Hood, Forrest Gump.

There are some you prob cant watch with kids:

Seven, Silence of the Lambs, Goodfellas, Casino, Heat.

Well, looks like its gonna be movie day at work today.

*edit* Mean Girls... relevant and enjoyable.
Great Outdoors, my nephews love this movie.

Great subject. My son is 5 turning 6 so he's not old enough for a few of these recommendations. But in a similar boat.

We have also been playing the old NES and SNES games weekly. Kirby, Balloon Fight and Street Fighter are the favs so far.

Some of the movies we have tried recently are Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Harry and the Henderson's, Great Outdoors.
Started watching Dinosaurs the other day and it was a hit.
