    Default 2024 Mazda CX-90

I hadn't seen anything posted here yet so I guess I'll start the thread.

Is anyone else in the market for 3-row SUVs? My wife's CX-9 is coming up on 10 years old so the timing of the recent info is good. This new CX-90 should be worthy of consideration on our short-list for the next vehicle.

New Inline 6, longitudinal with rear-biased AWD. That's already enough for me to sit up and take notice.

An underlying question might be how do Mazdas typically fare with the first model year jitters... ? Our 2013 CX-9 has been relatively problem free, but it was already a mature platform by that time.

Looks like a good option. From the videos I didn't get the impression you could remove the second row center console between the captains chairs. If that's the case, it is immediately disqualified for me.

Looks interesting. Wonder how availibility-limited it'll be?

That is a good question, but I thought I read in one of the other press releases that the 2nd row captains chairs option did provide easy access to the third row through the middle aisle. I'm not sure if we would go for the captains chairs or not. We are a little dog family and on trips the dog is normally in the middle of the 2nd row between the kids. So a bench arrangement (60/40 split) like we have now would probably work better for that. But my kids are beyond booster seats now so the option for heated 2nd row seating is definitely a plus.

IT is just a matter of time until kids start to just climb over that console. Because they are savages.

Toyota just announced their Grand Highlander. It won’t have an inline-6 nor a rear-biased AWD. But a potential alternative if seating configuration is higher on the priority?

Worth a look I suppose and it'd ultimately be the wife's decision since it'll be her vehicle, but I'd wager its almost a certainty that the Mazda would "drive" better than that thing.

I like these. Actually called north hill Mazda earlier this week to see if they had any info and basically told me there is nothing more they know compared to what’s already been made public, but that they would be able to add people to the waiting list for a $2000 fully refundable deposit. I wanted to call a few other locations to see if they would accept a smaller deposit but didn’t get around to it yet.

What do you mean "now"? Caravan's have been grand since before you were born.

I love my Mazda so much, but I don't think I could ever tolerate the rust issues on another one.
Have they stopped using soup cans for sheet metal?

    $2,000 ??!
Isn't that a lot compared to vehicles that have much higher demand?

That was what I was thinking too. Kia wanted only $500 deposit for a Telluride order so $2k felt high.

A minivan without the only thing that makes a minivan useful... a sliding door.

A deposit. In a vehicle that has no delivery date. Hahah, that sounds like a terrible idea.
And yeah bro it's totally refundable bro, don't read the fine print, no need, trust me bro. Fucks sakes.
