Dealerships are taking $1000 deposits for these now. I mentioned I want a factory order for the PHEV and willing to wait. Not really looking to get one of the first ones available from their dealer allocations which inevitably means a +$10k dealer adjustment.

No delivery date yet but North Hill expects to get 1 or 2 in late April (not sure if the PHEV or the Inline 6 ICE). They aren’t able to place the factory order yet, but apparently once they do have the capability, they will be inputting in order by date of deposit. Allegedly I’m 10th in line for the PHEv just at this location alone, so already lots of interest. The inline 6 doesn’t seem to have a huge wait list.

I'd wait until there are a few hundred in the wild before I personally felt comfortable ordering one. But I am very averse to deposits on any new model.

Extremely compelling vehicle from what has been released so far. I'm optimistic about the incoming generation of large family cars.

Yeah this “new normal” way of buying in demand new vehicles is super annoying. I was hoping things would be back to normal by the time we needed to upgrade but decided to just bite the bullet and play this game of placing a deposit and waiting a year.

I’m just happy that my wife liked this enough and that it has decent enough space to sway her away from the minivan idea. Crisis averted.

The CX-90 is a nice platform from the reviews; chassis and engine are great combination. The interior seems to be a polarizing experience, and I think the MDX has nicer execution on interior design.

I also had a CX9 for a few years. It was very reliable, and really quite a nice product imo - although the interior still had a fair amount of hard plastics, etc.

I actually like the interior of the 2016+ CX9 more than I like the interior on this CX90. I also find the exterior more evolutionary than revolutionary; very safe design, and those headlights don't look wide enough to me...
