    Default Basement flooring vinyl plank?

Was at some flooring shops today to look at options for my basement and they suggested vinyl plank, particularly cause I'm doing infloor heating. Would never thought vinly plank but their samples look good.

Now I'm deciding between laminate or vinyl plank. Anyone have direct experience with either on a heated basement floor?

I would buy flip flops for me and all my family/guests and a Rolex GMT Master II instead but that's just me.

We have LVP and one major regret is not paying up for the self leveling across the entire floor... there's a few big dips that are very annoying to walk over.

Also el-cheapo here without heating, so the temperature flux has been enough to shrink some planks past what the baseboards can cover.

I have vinyl plank here as well. Would definitely get self leveling, dont skimp on it. No shrinking here but it's very durable

Dricor-type subfloor should be strongly considered as well.

I used laminate on top of DMX underlay on my heated basement floor. Never had any issues and made the floor softer to walk on.

LVP over laminate in a basement 100%, way more moisture-resistant.

Strange.. The flooring Rep was saying lvp doesn't shrink or expand like other options when it comes to heating.

LVP here. Purchased from Devine flooring. We skipped the self levelling. Feeling major regret.

Does self leveling add a major cost to install?

Nice thing about Dricor is they have a leveling kit.
