Some interesting data has been coming out recently regarding the vaccinations, particularly the mRNA ones.

    - Vaccine RNA being detected in people's blood 28 days after their vaccination. So either the RNA survived in your body encapsulated within the lipid nanoparticle during that whole time (meaning that the time they said for the body to break down the LNP was bullshit) OR your body replicated the vaccine RNA. Which is a whole host of other potential effects.
    - the vaccine and LNP NOT staying put at the site of the injection but in fact going throughout multiple different tissues in the body including the lymph nodes, major organ systems etc
    - autoimmune issues and other side effects such as myocarditis... no thanks man

According to engineers and salespeople, leaky vaccines are great.

If it were needed for travel or some new strain popped off and was fucking people up, then I would.

I had 3 shots and fine with rolling with that for the foreseeable future.

Same boat. I don't need any more protection against omicron level of disease. If OG or Delta level of Covid came back I would get a booster for that.

Right, so let's say CBC announces "I know we've said this once a week for 159 straight weeks now, but this time it's truly fer srs! The new variant is named Neil&Bob and it's THE MOST ferocious variant ever and you need to stay in your homes consuming our media or you will give all of the African babies ebola!!"

It's not like vaccine that's available to us that week protects against Kneel&Bob. It might take them 6-12 months to reformulate a vaccine to handle Neil&Bob. So we are stuck either taking the current vaccine that's probably fine against Omicron (but less effective against kRaCkEn and perhaps powerless against Neil&Bob), or doing nothing.
    I find both options frustrating.

I don't think the evil CBC had been saying there are more ferocious variants. More transmissible yes, but not causing serious illness like the originals. Transmissible and not going to kill you or give you long COVID is fine.

Disagree. The CBC want nothing more than for you to live in constant fear.
At any rate, that's beside the point. I'm arguing that when/if you hear about the newest most lethal #FilthyBurgess vAriAnT from however you hear about it, (Facebook, Fox, CBC, CNN, Joe Rogan, Twitter, Russell Brand, Rebel Media, Rhinoceros, etc etc etc), good luck thinking that the vaccine-de-jour is a silver bullet against the latest variant.

I'm not saying it would be a waste of time, but thinking that you'll suddenly get vaxx'd in response to the latest #HotCarl variant isn't as well thought out a strategy as it might appear.

I would urge anyone getting a booster to consider what the lipid nano-particles and the vaccine mRNA are actually doing within the body. At this point, to blindly trust the vax manufacturers with safety data is insane IMO.

Got shots 1 and 2 so i could start going to restaraunts back when things started to ease. Later got COVID twice and didn't ded. No more boosters for me.

This is basically my whole household including my unvaccinated 4 year old that also had COVID twice. He was actually the less effected by it out of all of us. My wife with an autoimmune disease got hit the worst and also didn't ded.

Nah. I have anecdotally watched far too many people I know go down with random auto-immune and/or cardiac dysfunctions, at least two of which will be affected for life. And there's far too many others with the same coincidental anecdotal experience over the last 3 years so I'll consider myself fortunate to have not been adversely affected in any known manner at this point and call it good. Fine with it, would have been fine without it, no need to further roll the dice. I hate old and immuno-compromised people anyway.

Opted not to vote, because I really don't know. Although repercussions of infection are obviously far worse than the flu for someone our ages, I'm handling it similar to how I handle my flu shots. I may, I may not.

Really may depend on what the trend is. We got through the winter without any huge waves like we had seen prior, and since November, deaths have been on a downtrend. (And deaths are really the only thing I look at for stats. Any other infection stats have always been and continue to be highly unreliable).

Nope. No more shots for me. I only took the two originally because I would have been out of a paycheck if I didn't, just like a lot of people. I've had COVID, too.

Seriously? Doctors in Canada all peddled the vax and boosters without even using a single brain cell.

Here's how the conversation will go:
Patient: Hey Doc, what's the latest on the Covid vax/boosters?
Doc: I don't know, what do you mean?
Patient: Seems like a lot of people aren't getting the boosters for various reasons now that there's more studies and information out there. Have you read anything?
    Doc: No.
Patient: Oh..k. So do you think I should get the boosters?
    Doc: Yes.

Feel free to prove me wrong.
