    Default Heat cream/rub for pain

So I took a serious wipeout on the ice a couple months ago and tore my rotator cuff and nothing seems to help relief the discomfort at night except heat. I am finding the heat rubs I have tried to be all over the map. Some seem almost non-existent while others are okay. I was given a bit to try by my nieces husband called Cramers Red Hot and it seemed to be the best of the lot so far but finding it is tough it seems. Does anyone have any recommendations on this kind of thing that is pretty readily available and his on the extremely hot end of the heat scale?

    Cheers!

Have you tried something with narcotics?

I eat Advil and Tylenol like tictacs as needed but it just doesn't seem to kill that nighttime throb.

No experience with the Cramers Red Hot, but I have the RubA535 Antiphlogistine (Methyl Salicylate 30%). It's the hottest I've found. Don't get it on any sensitive skin though like your underarms, you'll be in more pain.

Consider a good heating pad also?

Normally I'd say alternating ice and heat, but I've never torn my rotator badly.

Yes! There's a product called Arnicare that is miles and miles better than any other icy/hot bullshit I've ever tried.

I've used tiger balm (can get at shoppers drug mart for sure) with success. Nothing as serious as your injury but has worked for me.

Get some dry needling done and or acupuncture.
The only way your shoulder will heal unless you completely immobilize it.

I had rotator issues for years while playing competitive hockey.

I have been using tiger balm ultimate for a while and works okay but holy it is smelly! Very medicinal… Inhave tried Voltaren and even a prescription version and I find that stuff does nothing for that soothing heat and only is moderately successful with the anti inflammatory aspect on me. Maybe to fat? Lol

It is the heat I like. I know it isn’t inflammatory… But it does soothe and provide the distraction to sleep and does seem to make movement easier for me.

Yes I am a fan of this for treatment for sure, but again this is more just a nighttime distraction and soothing mechanism I am asking for.

I've also tried both types of the Voltaren, dont notice a difference with either. I use it on very mild strains at most.

This! Definitely works way better than any hot cream.
Although my coverage covered very little and it seemed expensive. Like $50 expensive.

Heating pads. A good one is a nice experience. Got this one and seems to work great.

Allegedly does work well for grandparents. Although usually have to hide the brand because they're not rubbing devil's lettuce on their necks.

I have this product called CBD Ice my massage therapist sold me a jar after a session. But its more on the icy side. Works on my sore muscles but its probably gimmick, theres only 500mg of CDB actually in the 2oz jar. $20 jar but I cant find the company online so must be locally batch made in Calgary

My dad puts on these Chinese patches on his sore muscles. No idea where he gets them but silimar to Salonpas

I started CBD ~3 years ago for my knee and ankle pain and its a game changer. It took a long time to kick in (maybe a month) but I went from waking up 4 out of 7 nights in pain having to ice or hook up the tens machine to only doing that maybe 4-5 times a year. I started with the oil drops but the brand I use came out with capsules that are way more convenient. I also use an icy type CBD lotion on days I know the pain is going to be bad. Not quite what ol Tire Bobby is looking for with the heat but it would be a good consideration to try in addition to the heat lotion.

Bob, you're nowhere near Chinatown I imagine but no joke I've used this for sprains/strains/heavy contusions since way back in the days of kickboxing training and I still use it today. Pro tip, wash hands prior to handling genitalia (well your own, but if you wanna mess with someone's state of mind by all means liberally apply to hands shortly prior to engagement).

Is becoming a CCP member a requirement or a side effect? Cuz that stuff looks hot enough to get you on a list.
