Hey, reading through the suncor agreement, that's for employees. If a person was hiring them directly, but as contractors, I'd think they'd get something like 30% higher hourly rates, right?

Also, yes @Darkane , I owe you roys place for sure.

Suncor has a lot of really good employee perks, I'd expect >30% gap between employees and contractors. That being said it's also hard to get in as an employee and most people I know went contractor for a few years before getting hired on as employee.

Yeah this is a research project for me.
Anyone find a CBA for another Fort Mac union or other wage table for skilled trades?

We use unionized millwrights and they are charged to us at ~$85/hr ST, plus OT, plus DT, plus per diem, plus whatever travel and vehicle time they might use since we don't work out of a single place

If you work around the clock and start your career at 18, can you be a millionaire by 30?
Not if you spend it all on hookers & blow.

Or your wife divorces you and takes a chunk... Or don't forget, alimony and child support.

    Nice find!

~45/hr for Fort Mac area for most trades, standard rate. They probably get charged out at what, $120/hr then?

I'd guess 2x is about the chargeout rate. But I don't know anything.
