Default Brake lock - not junk?

Well the motorsports store brake lock was found this morning lying beside the bike with the cover... No damage to the lock - so clearly the riffraff picked it easily. Luckily that's as far as they got.

Who makes a good quality brake lock for the front rotor? Clearly the one I have isn't difficult enough to remove... Is that kryptonite one worth it or does it still fail to slow the thieves?

Locks can be picked easily by someone who has taken the time to train themselves. Watch Lock Picking Lawyer videos for inspiration and/or despair.

Let me have some semblance of it'll be ok

It's mostly just to prevent the addicts from pushing it away, it won't stop a determined thief I get it

    Suspect #1 already posted.

Kidding aside, multiple locks I think are the only way to slow the thief down.
Could add a cheap camera like wyze that mostly works at person detection if you pay for it and have alerts to your phone during a specific time of day when no one should be around the doors.

Sounds like the lock did its job. If it still works I’d say keep using that.

I would avoid the kind with those tubular keys, which are easy to pick without much training, and use something with this style of key:

Nothing is unpickable, but you want something that requires specialized tools or training to make it not worthwhile.

No lock clearly got defeated first, as taking off the cover without removing the lock creates a really nasty noise (mines somewhat similar to the kraser extraslow posted, different key style though).

They managed to get it off the center stand, but no further; I have a feeling the factory park brake defeated them; or they couldn't get it started (immobilizer) and moved on.

It slowed them down. That’s working.

Pro tip. Put the disc lock on the rear wheel. Usually a little harder to access depending on the bike and it helps prevents the roll away theft where two guys lift the front of the bike and roll it into a trailer.
