    I'm stoked for this season. Are the callaway wedges the one with the Raw finish, rust over time? What made you go with those?

    I've got some warmup lessons and sessions booked for the next couple weeks, looking forward to getting back into it.
    They have a black satin finish. Not raw haha

    I liked the look, differentiates from the irons.

    Was able to return the Paradym because it had some quality control issues with it before I started hitting it. I bought each with a stock shaft, and picked up the Tensei 1k from The Peoples Club because TXG wanted $500+ for the shaft alone. The shaft I was fitted for, is the same for both drivers so I will just need the adapter to be swapped. But yes, if I didn't have good connections, I'd be screwed. All the testing was done with those tracking dots on my drivers, but I don't ever use foot spray. I got fitted at TXG, so it's the Foresight data/graphics.

    @vengie It was TSR3 numbers not TSi3 (that's my old gamer). But all the sessions was done using a TP5x which is my gamer ball.
    Where do you test at?

    It's actually kind of both. Jaws raw wedges have a raw face, and whatever finish you choose on the rest of the head.

    Raw wedges are great, they just wear so fast.

    https://txg.ca/calgary/ for fittings.

    But playing out of Pinebrook this year, so did some testing there in a GCQuad.

    Interesting, guess I’ll find out. They sure do look good.

    Ok I’ll play. This is from my warmup. 7i and driver. My driver ball speed is pitiful haha. And 7i is artificially jacked up from low spin off mats/the shitty Srixon ball I was using. It spins probably 2k more (and rolls out probably 8yd less) on grass with a pro v1 or tp5 that I usually play.

    Things got a little better after I got loose. But still feeling like a winter swing

    All in all, I’m reasonably pleased. It’s only going to get better as I get back into shape and get to the course 4 or 5 times a week.

    Any of you use portable launch monitors?

    I’m tempted to buy the Garmin R10

    Completed my set for the next few years, just need a newer bag for the push cart.

    PXG 0811XT ProjectX HZRDUS X Stiff Driver;
    PXG 0341 Proto 5 Wood, same shaft as driver - aka the fairway finder;
    Mizuno SEL 4-GW irons;
    54 & 58 Haywood wedges;
    Odyssey Black Series #8 putter - Tiger Slayer.

    Happy with the set-up, just need more short game practice time. Goal for this year is to stay in high 70's, low 80s consistently.

    Most of their play is at or near sea level though. Add 30yds to their drives at our elevation, and at least 10yds for the irons.

    If you aren't hooking it to a sim, is getting that data really worth it? Knowing your launch data is pretty pointless at our level, better spend that money on lessons.

    You don’t like data when you practice at the range?

    Is it really relevant if you can't strike the ball consistently? The average golfer should practice towards no more than two shots under 100 yards in. After knowing your yardages with each club, everything else is just stats for what exactly?

    Speaking of, I highly recommend the GolfShot app. Accurate to 1 yard of the top range finders plus you can track your clubs used, keeps scores and tracks your steps for you fitness freaks.

    I'm just curious how knowing your launch angle and spin rates helps you lower you scores, if that's your goal.

    Having a 100mph slap shot isn't helpful when you can't hit the net lol.

    I like to dial in yardage, am I drawing, fading, launch angle, swing speed, ball speed.
    I enjoy it, I’ll spend 2 sometimes 3hrs at the range just practicing different shots. Being able to see the data is even better for me.

    I find it incredibly relaxing.

    Agreed short game is where you need to dial it in.
    My focus this year is the scoring wedges.
    140yds and under.

    I mean it makes sense to buy new clubs every season when you wear them out after couple months of hitting 400 balls a day.
