Agreed short game is where you need to dial it in.
My focus this year is the scoring wedges.
    140yds and under.
    Kirkland wedge set baby!

You forgot to tell us how far you hit your driver.

On an unrelated note, what kind of psychopath doesn't have a headcover on their putter?
I caved and got a new putter.

Not at all, just believe in voodoo.

I have the same putter from when I was 12 and refuse to change it.

Edit: Should note, even with the same putter for over 2 decades I'm still mediocre.

Or did you just grab a headcover from the lost and found? We'll never know.

Either way, it's an improvement haha.

If you didn't spent a home's commission on a putter, did you really buy anything worth putting with?

You have a problem though. This is not reasonable advice.

    Where does everyone play?

I’ve seen Pinebrook & Confed so far.

Any golf trips planned? I’m playing Greywolf & Eagle Ranch this June. Do an annual golf trip every year.

    I play anywhere and everywhere.
    Courses from last year include:
    Apple Creek
    Woodside
    Inglewood
    Elbow Springs
    Mickelson National
    Heather Glen
    Darcy Ranch
    Priddis
    Speargrass
    Rivers Edge
    Olds
    Collicut siding

I don't know that I'll ever become a member somewhere, but I suppose that depends completely on my two boys and their interest in golf.

That was my deciding factor, I played 38 rounds last year with my boy. This year should be even more.

Of those above, which is your favourite?

    Mickelson
    Priddis
    Darcy
    Elbow

Really interested to see how Mickelson matures over the next 5 years.
I dream for the days I can hit 30+!
20 rounds is usually a stretch. Need to get into sales.

My boy started swinging a club seriously 3 years ago. He’s 12 now and shot an 85 from the white tees on Forest.
His ball speed is already 135mph and drives it 235yds

    I haven’t played Mickelson yet.

I’ve played Priddis & Elbow many times.

    Highly recommend Mickelson.
Course is extremely well designed and will make you really choose your shot.

It's still decently open on certain holes, but once the vegetation grows in the course will transform and you'll be punished for a poor shot.

There were a lot of bizarre planting choices throughout the course.

'Here are some amazing views across the foothills to the mountains that few courses in the provinces could dream of having...now let's plant a bunch of shit that will eventually block them.'

Tremendous property, terrible owners, chainsaws will be the course's best friend in a few years.

Not sure mickleson will ever mature into something I’d enjoy playing on a regular basis. Too much wind.
