Three things that I concentrate on after I address the ball:
    1. Loose comfortable grip, take all the tension out of my arms and shoulders. Think noodle arms.
    2. Hinge the wrists down at the top of the swing. Think Dustin Johnson.
    3. On the downstroke shallow out the club. I try to graze my body with my left tricep (I’m a lefty).

These three things alone have drastically improved my ball striking consistency from the driver to the PW. Slice is no more and ball flight is either straight or a slight draw. I don’t practice enough to make it permanent and my short game is decent enough to keep the scores in the 70s.

Watching the FedEx cup tournaments also highlights how pristine those courses are. My local courses have uneven tee boxes and fucked to hell fairways and greens. I’m sure I could pickup a couple strokes if I played on perfect grass.

I personally can’t swing in a sim, makes trying to get fitted for a club a huge PIA.

Cant rationalize it as I know I’m not going to hit anything. Still can’t go through the right motions.

Out on the course same day and I was swinging fine.
Titleist fittings at Country Hills or Taylormade at Blue Devil are both outdoors. Other brands don't matter...

You would pick up stroke and lose many more from tournament conditions.

Its a net loss for amateurs.

Haha, bad time to say I play pings?

Thinking of doing a fitting in phoenix for them anyway. I think they do them outdoor there.

Last time I was there it’s indoor, followed by a covered range outdoors. Great facility to tour as they have their own foundry

Saw 3 this round, the one at greywolf is likely going to be killed as it keeps eating out of the grease trap by the kitchen and ignores bear spray and rock throwing at this point.

Easter egg for the meme enthusiasts, the logo i made is based off an old internet meme

Brisk start to the day but played Silvertip this morning. What an unbelievably beautiful course.

Was in pretty good shape, very quick large greens.

Different kind of course to play, everything funneled to the fairway which was pretty forgiving and the hole distances were not very far from the whites which was a nice perk for me. But elevation was the real handicap maker, a lot of very steep up and down shots so you needed to know your flights. Several hills that required a few extra clubs to make shots.

Isn’t that usually the long drive contest?
