Default cool cars that are in production

I have made no secret of the fact that I think most new cars are not interesting. Fast? Yes? Reliable? Yes? Interesting and cool. Definitely not. In the interest of reacting to the false and libelous accusations of my grumpiness and/or negatively, I'd like to actually list some current production cars that are...cool. They do exist. To make the list sensible, I'll only include cars that I would, under the right circumstances, consider putting my own money towards.

The shrinking of a list of cool cars is partly because cars themselves are more becoming generic along with safety and electrification, but also because I have moved on from being interested in what other people think is cool. This is a general shift in my philosophy to understand what I want to want, rather than just wanting something because its the default. https://www.artofmanliness.com/chara...-want-to-want/

    Edit: Goooodbye Lotus....hellooooo Lexus.

I like the Defender, V12 Aston’s are also sweet and the Vantage is still pretty cool.

The new SL63 would be attractive if it wasn’t a quarter million dollars.

MC20's starting to sell for under MSRP.
There was one on BAT a few days ago for $30k under.

which V12? I'll update the OP. I actually really like the DBS, but I'm not sure if it makes the list of cars I would put my OWN money towards.

CT4 or 5 V Blackwing with the 6MT. Essentially a Camaro with trunk space.

I definitely agree with this pick. I had a tour of the Lotus plant back in ‘08 when the Elise and Exige were in production. I got to talk to a few of the staff and it was clear that despite the various changes in (foreign) ownership, there was still a massive amount of pride in the brand among the locals. It makes me sad that this will be their last ICE car.

Depending on what the i4 looks like, it's a serious consideration.

I personally wish the Alpine A110 was available on North America.

Might not be fancy enough, but supra manual has me thinking these days.

Too bad I’m torso long, and tall and crank my head of the sloping side every time.

    I’d also drive a GT4 (non RS)

    Isn't there a Cayman that has like a 4.0L V6 or something? I bet that's a pretty shit-hot car.
The Giulia QUADRIFOGLIO also makes me tingly in the bathing suit area.

    interesting stuff.

Quick back of the napkin math says they will charge CAD$132,000 for the amg powered one and CAD$147,000 for the V6...and we won't see them for a year or more.

lol. No thanks Lotus. Good car, but trust Lotus to fuck it all up.

That’s a spicy price for a car with an engine from a Camry.
