You're surprised the female doesn't like the guy that's a rapist? Next up: why people with vaginas don't like Kent Hehr.

That and she can math, and Trudeau can't.

The impact this tax has on small business is wholly unreported. Businesses do not receive any sort of refund for the contributions they make. A small business with 30-40 trucks on the road can easily pay $20,000+ in Carbon Tax on just fuel with no reimbursement. It's not politically popular for either party to create a mechanism to reimburse businesses for their contribution toward this 'Revenue Neutral' tax. The only thing businesses can do is raise prices to offset this expense. The consumer ultimately is paying more for the products and services offered.

This country and its government policies are openly hostile to business. The stagnation in GDP/ capita growth over the past 10 years can be traced back to reduced reinvestment of capital back into the economy (productivity gains stagnating). Entrepreneurs I know are taking profits and excess capital and looking for investment opportunities outside of Canada, not back into their own businesses locally. Not good for this country. When risk takers and innovators are no longer interested in doing business here, when our natural resources development sector is under siege and are no longer being developed, all this country can offer is a home for new comers around the world and a housing based economy. It's scary to watch this as the infrastructure to support Canadians crumbles under a weight it was never designed to support.

The irony is that our Governments effort to reduced carbon consumption per capita are completely undermined when the bulk of new Canadians making a home here are coming from countries closer to the equator with significantly lower Carbon/capita consumption rates (even when adjusting for quality of life).

If I could move, I would.

What's funny is every one here gets it too, they just haven't noticed (assuming they filed taxes last year anyways). It's not based on income at all, just number of people in the house.
    And rural/urban locations.

Rural folks get 20% more rebate effective April. Prior it was a 10% uplift.

    100% this.

Not to mention imports are carbon tax free.

Nothing like Canadian consumers effectively subsidizing China's coal-powered factories...

A rebate for businesses was in the works but isn’t anywhere close to happening.

What's funny to me is there's still some people who actually think this is doing something. And they're the same people who complain they can't afford anything. This country is run by retards.
