I think that’s called being a pimp.

They renamed it to human trafficking. I actually had no idea for the longest time, and thought human traffickers were modern day slavers and there’s some underground slave trade that I wasn’t aware of. Turns out they’re just pimps.

There's also a grandfather clause that if you previously were a pimp prior to rename, you stay a pimp, making you sort of cool but not a human trafficker. It's the loophole Ice-T uses so he doesn't get cancelled and ironically plays a cop on Law and Order SVU.
